As an admirer of love letters, Jane Austen novels, Bridgerton, and the elegance of regency-core aesthetics, I knew the first collection needed to embody this delicate, romantic spirit. It wasn't just about pretty embroidery, it was about creating something that could evoke feeling, spark nostalgia, and become a cherished keepsake. This collection would not only define the tone of Dear Emmalou, but also lay the foundation for the stories and themes of future collections.
Sketching & Concept Development

I sketch and design ideas freely, letting the pencil (or mouse!) follow wherever it feels most natural, exploring shapes, colours, and motifs that are both visually appealing and emotionally resonant. Some ideas come from personal memories or moments I want to capture, others from the subtle elegance of nature or the whimsy of letters and words.
